I really liked the retro style of this game, it reminds me of Atari and Gameboy consoles :)

Nice sprites and music! Is the first one somewhat inspired by italian tarantella?
In the "tower level" you might want to delete at least some background tiles as it is slowing down the whole game...

Thanks! Actually the first music track was mostly inspired by "Halloween World" from "Baby Felix Halloween" (a very obscure licensed Gameboy Color game with an amazing soundtrack). Fun fact: It also features cats as main characters.
I didn't noticed any slowdowns though. Maybe try to clear your browser cache/history?
Fun! Feels somewhere between DOS and NES in both the graphics and level design. Music was perfect. I liked the scale of the castle and loved the extended ending—I didn’t see it coming, and appreciated all the attention to detail there.
